After a month-and-a-half long renovation, FORMO Restaurant and Lounge – Cebu’s favorite chill-out lounge has finally reopened last October 29, 2012. Boasting an all-new chic interiors, new set of delectable dishes and all-new vibe, Formo is definitely back to make Cebuanos experience a party like never before.

Largely inspired by the thriving, mixed-living, highly-urban look & feel of sprawling New York City, FORMO’s soho-chic inspired interiors is vividly decorated by a play of shapes and textures and natural elements of wood & stone. An expanded FORMO facade greets guests from the outside, making the al fresco area looking more inviting than ever! Find that the main bar has been cleverly re-positioned right at the center of the main room and is framed by a creative depiction of the magnificent Cebu island – made of recycled beer bottles, illuminated from the back, flanked side-by-side by a deck of Capiz shells. The main dining area now exudes a vibrantly urbane and artsy feel – festooned by brick-lined walls and crème-colored wing chairs. FORMO’s modern and minimal set of furniture is membered by long, square tables matched with minimally-designed bar stools, oval coffee tables paired with low-rising chairs that resemble chess pawn pieces and a long, ribbed sofa. The main dining area is now illuminated by smartly-positioned lighting fixtures, the ceiling decorated with disco balls of varied sizes and an eclectic grouping of hanging lamps, making-up a modern take on chandeliers. FORMO’s main room now enchantingly transforms into a lushly ambient dining area at nightfall with the lights gradually dimming-down in sheer anticipation of the good `ole drinking hours that lay ahead. FORMO’s recent revamp was the work of Cebuano creative geniuses Hannah Lim (Interior Design) and Melvin Banzon (Architecture).

Chef Miner del Mundo is armed with awards and distinction from several international and national culinary competitions and food expos and a degree in International Culinary and Kitchen Management from New England Culinary Institute in Vermont, U.S.A.,
Chef Miner’s international cooking experience includes working overseas in some of the A-list restaurants & hotels in Milan, Italy; Pudong, China; and Manhattan, New York.
Now based in the country, he handles restaurant management and consultancy and helps run the kitchen operations of the Legend Hotels International Inc.; Marriot Hotels, Philippines; Kabayan Hotel – Pasay; and the Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa, Marinduque – to name a few.
